Reading of the manuscript, Lik Hong Khon, by Sa Myat Chowlik. This recording was made by Stephen Morey at Pawaimukh villages, 19th December 1999.
The original video was recorded on a Sony Digital Handycam TRV1 using a Hi8 video cassette that was numbered 2000.6.
The manuscript read in this recording consists of 8 pages in a folded document of hand made paper. This was photographed first in 2002 as eight separate pages as SDM03-ksu_19991219_SaMyat_HongKhon-img01.jpg to SDM03-ksu_19991219_SaMyat_HongKhon-img08.jpg. It was photographed again in 2003, by which time the manuscript had been slightly damaged by wax. These later photos, of better quality, have two pages on each image, and are named SDM03-ksu_19991219_SaMyat_HongKhon-img09.jpg to SDM03-ksu_19991219_SaMyat_HongKhon-img12.jpg.
This manuscript was transcribed and translated, first with the assistance of Nabin Shyam Phalung in March 2001. The text was then further revised with the assistance of Aithown Jee Chakap, and various pandits from Namphakey village, namely Aije Let Hailowng, Sam Thown Wingkyen, and Ee Ngyan Kheit Thoumong in late March 2001. This is Since the final translation was done with the help of Phake pandits, the phonemicisation is in Tai Phake, based on the work of Dr Banchob Bandhumedha (1987).
