Shat sa sha lawm lawm rai yang she, e.. grai.. kaba wa hkra shu kasha dai gaw shat sa sha lawm rai jang she, e.. shi gaw nta madu ni hpe wa tsun dan ai da. Dai jahkrai ma dai gaw grai myit su ai da. kaja myit su da. Dan na she shi gaw shu dai hpe she um.. dan re "Shu kasha langai mi shat sa sha lawm lawm re" ngu na she nta madu ni hpe wa tsun dan jang she "Woi wa yu rit taw" ngu tsun ai da. "Woi wa yu rit taw" ngu jang she e.. dan ngu tsun jang she wo ra wa gaw "Naw sa san yu na" ngu tsun ai da. Rai jang she shu kasha hpe sa san yu ai hku rai nga. "Anhte nta wa ga, anhte nta na ni, nye madu ni nang hpe mu mayu ai da" ngu tsun ai da. Shaloi jang she "Nkam ai law" ngu tsun ai da "Nkam ai, nanhte nta Nyau n nga a ni" ngu tsun ai da. Shaloi jang she "Nga ai" ngu tsun ai hku rai nga. Shaloi jang she shi gaw e.. nta de shiga bai wa jaw sai da shi nga ai nta kaw. Shaloi jang she dai kaw bai sa htu rai jang she um.. aja lung seng ni, shi ra ai, shi ra ai lam yawng.... hkra hkum hkum tsup tsup dai kaw e.. lu htu la ai da. Dai majaw jahkrai ma raitim mung, myit ndaw myit ding ding man man sadi dung ai hte dai hku asak hkrung yang gaw da Karai Kasang gaw, shi hpe Shi hte arau nga ai re majaw shi hpe sha shaman ya ai da. Collection title Kachin folktales told in Jinghpaw
Description Recordings of Kachin folktales and related narratives in Jinghpaw. These materials were collected by Keita Kurabe, Gumtung Lu Awng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, Labang Tu La, Gumtung Htu Nan, and Lashi Seng Nan as part of community-based collaborative fieldwork in northern Myanmar. A total of 2,491 stories with 2,481 ELAN files, 2,481 transcriptions, and 1,437 translations are currently available (November 23, 2024). Transcriptions were contributed by Gumtung Lu Awng, Pausa La Ring, Galang Lu Hkawng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, and Keita Kurabe. Stories were translated by Nbanpa Rita Seng Mai, Sumlut Gun Mai, Lazing Htoi San, Maran Seng Pan, Dumdaw Mike Tu Awng, Nhkum Htoi Awng, and Keita Kurabe.
