There was once a wildfire on Earth. When the water levels of the Mali Hka River and the Hkrang Hka River rose, the floodwater swept away all the trees and plants along the riverbanks. The water level had increased. Many trees were swept along the Mali Hka River by the floodwaters. Also, many trees were swept along the Hkrang Hka River. When the two rivers converged, many trees were caught in the confluence. There was much flotsam in the river. When the Mali Hka River narrowed, the trees couldn't flow through. All the trees were stuck there. Later, the water level had decreased. And it was the summer. Then all the flotsam dried up. All the leaves, plants, and trees that were stuck there dried up. Meanwhile, a mouse was searching for a place to stay because the weather was hot. It dug a burrow in the dried-up leaves and plants. While its body was underground, its tail stuck out. At that moment, a great hornbill was out to search for food. When it noticed the mouse's tail, it quickly pecked at it. It kept pecking at the mouse's tail, but it couldn't catch it. As it kept pecking, the friction finally sparked a fire. The fire had spread everywhere. The wildfire had started. All the birds flew to the Majoi Shingra Mountain to escape from the fire. The francolin used to search for food in the water. Since other birds of its species flew to Majoi Shingra Mountain, it went there with them. Many animals tried to put out the fire. The first animal was a deer. It said, "Let me put out that fire!" However, it couldn't successfully put out the fire. Its whole body was burned. That was why the deer's body turned red. As the fire burned fiercely, the deer's forehead was burned when it tried to put out the fire. Its forehead had no fur as a result. The tiger also said, "I will put out that fire!" When it tried to put out the fire, it also got burned. The burn left stripes on its body. The tiger still has stripes on its body today. The stripes are the result of the tiger trying to put out the fire. Later, the bear said, "I will put out that fire!" Then it went to put out the fire. The bear's entire body was burned when it tried to put out the fire. The bear's body turned black after getting burned. It was the result of its attempt to put out the wildfire. The fire kept growing. The fire had spread to the Majoi Shingra Mountain. There were many plants and trees on Majoi Shingra Mountain that the fire couldn't burn. When the fire reached that area, those plants and trees stopped it. The fire was extinguished. The birds also flew back to their original places and lived there again. However, the francolin got used to living with the other species of birds from Majoi Shingra Mountain. When it missed the fish, it said, "Nga Baw, Nga Baw." It made that kind of sound because it missed the fish. Thanks to the plants and trees on the Majoi Shingra Mountain that couldn't be burned, the fire was stopped. People also grew those plants and trees around their farms and fields. People came to call it the wildfire, which had spread all the way to Majoi Shingra Mountain. It is one of the natural fire disasters. Our ancestors still talk about it to this day.
