The dog was instructed in that manner every day. One day, when the two farmers had gone to the paddy field, a snake came to their house. A snake came to the house and said to the dog, "I am very thirsty. I have asked water in a house, but I did not get any." The snake continued, "I asked water in another house, but I didn't get any. But I hope I will get water in your house. May I drink some water?" When the snake said that the dog replied, "You can drink water but my masters are here so you can't drink here." "You are going to give trouble to my master's child." said the dog. Then, the snake replied, "I won't give any trouble. I will just drink water and go away." But the dog said, "No, you can't drink water here." But when the snake pleaded again and again, the dog allowed it to drink water in the house by saying, "Don't make any trouble. Just drink water." Then, the dog let the snake go down stairs where its master's child was sleeping. While the snake was drinking water, the house owner's child woke up. The child thought that the snake was a toy to play so the child grabbed the snake. The snake was shocked and frightened. As a result, the snake bit the child to death. When the dog saw that the snake had bitten the child to death, it was furious and said, "You didn't keep your promise!", and the dog bit the snake to death. The dog killed the snake. It was getting dark by then. When it was getting dark, the husband and wife who went to paddy field came back. They were very tired when they came back. They were shocked and puzzled to see the dog with blood in its mouth at the door. They were worried about their child. They went into the house and saw that their child was dead. When they saw that the husband got furious and picked up a firewood and beat the dog to death. After killing the dog, they opened the door and they saw that there was a huge snake lying dead.
