Title Pu shaw kau hkrum ai hkra a lam (The cicada that was taken away its intestine) with English translation
Description Translation (Gun Mai)
A long time ago, a tiger and a rabbit were doing farm. It was done through gatsun ga la way (free labouring each other when there is a task to do in a house within a community while the task owner serves the food for free). At the farm of the tiger, the tiger served meat curry. But at the rabbit's farm, the rabbit did not have meat to serve so only served vegetable curry. Because the tiger had been serving only meat curry, one day, the tiger was also difficult to serve the meat curry anymore. Since the tiger could not serve anymore the meat curry, the tiger thought to himself that "When the rabbit comes today, I have to do something." When the rabbit came, the tiger lied to the rabbit that "Wait a moment. Let me go to fetch water." Then, the tiger went to the rabbit's house and killed the children of the rabbit, and cooked for the rabbit. After the tiger cooked, he called the rabbit that "Come here, let's eat now." But, the rabbit also knew that his children were killed and cooked. So, the rabbit was very sorrowful. The rabbit said that "You killed my children. I won't eat it," and he left. After the rabbit left, he met with a dog. The dog asked that "Why are you staring around?" "The tiger killed my children and cooked for me. I don't want to eat. That's why I am wandering," answered the rabbit. The dog then said that "If so, I will compete with him." Oh sorry. It was a pig. The pig said so. "Hey tiger, come on. Let's make a competition tomorrow between you and me," the pig said to the tiger. "What will we compete with?" the tiger asked. "Let's compete to demolish the mountain," said the pig. The tiger said OK and the next morning, they turned up with the snout to demolish. The tiger could not demolish while the pig could demolish all so the pig won. They also said that "Let do a competition again tomorrow," and "Yes, OK." They competed to unfasten the string. The pig could unfasten all the string with his teeth. The tiger could not unfasten the string so the pig killed the tiger. And, the pig laid down the dead body of the tiger and said to the rabbit that "Rabbit, will you eat the tiger meat? You can cook and eat now." "I don't want to eat," the rabbit said. "So, what do you want from the tiger's dead body? Do you want a heart?" the pig asked. "No, I also don't want the heart," the rabbit answered. "So, what do you want?" the pig asked again and the rabbit answered that "I want his blood." Then, the rabbit took the tiger's blood and left. On the way, as it got dark, the rabbit took a rest under a tree and slept there. There were a lot of large crickets on the tree. The large crickets made noise. A large cricket said to the rabbit that "Hey rabbit, don't sleep there. We used to shout a lot in the morning. You won't be able to sleep." "I am OK. I can sleep," replied the rabbit. The rabbit slept that night. On the next early morning, when the large crickets shouted loudly, the rabbit got shocked and ran away. The rabbit ran away and got to a farm of the people. The rabbit was stuck in a root of pumpkin. And, the pumpkin was rolled. The pumpkin was shocked and rolled, and it was hit into a sesamum plant. Then, the sesamum seeds were also spread into the eye of an elephant. So, the elephant was also shocked and ran away. Because the elephant ran away to a stream, he hit a piece of wood and the piece of wood was also rolled. The piece of wood was also rolled and hit a mound. The mound was demolished and hit the fish. The fish also got angry and moved, and the fish touched a crab. The crab also got angry. So, they got angry at each other and investigated. "Who is the primary doer for this?" they asked. The crab said that "This is fish. It was because the fish touched me, even one of my legs is hurt." Then, the fish also said that "No, it was not me. It was because the piece of wood hit me." The piece of wood also said that "No, it was not me. It was the mound. Because the mound was demolished and hit me." When the mound was asked, "It was the elephant. It was because the elephant hit me," answered the mound. When the elephant was asked, "No, it was not me. I was sleeping quietly but the sesamum seeds were spread into my eye. I was shocked and happened like this." The sesamum plant was asked again. The sesamum plant said that "I was just staying calm. It was because the pumpkin was rolled into me. When they asked the pumpkin, the pumpkin also said that "When I was staying calm, it was because the rabbit ran and jumped into me." So, they asked the rabbit again that "Rabbit, why did you do like that? It affected all because of you." The rabbit also said that "It was not me. I was sleeping quietly under the tree. It was because the large cricket shouted and I was shocked. Finally, they also asked the large cricket but the large cricket did not have anyone to point out. Thus, they thought that it affected all because of the large cricket so they all pulled out all bowels of the large cricket. Therefore, the large cricket has no bowel now.
