I would like to tell you about the strength of the union. If three men are united, they can even empty all the water from the ocean. A long time ago, there were three families who were neighbours in a village. Each family had a son. The three sons raised many cows and buffaloes. When they were herding their cattle near a lake, a dragon came out of nowhere and ate their cows. When they arrived home, they told their respective fathers about the dragon. All their fathers replied the same, "No worries. We have lots of cattle." Their fathers loved them so much because they were their only child. The three men were angry because the dragon ate their cows. They held weapons such as knives and spears and went to the lake to kill the dragon. But they couldn't find the dragon. Meanwhile, their fathers were worried because they didn't come back home although it was late. The fathers followed through their sons' footsteps. Then they arrived at the lake. There, they saw the sign that the dragon had eaten their sons. So they went to the king and warned him about the dragon. They said, "My king, there is a dragon in our country. We need to kill it. If not, we will be in danger." But the king didn't take it seriously. The king just sent them back home. Then, the three fathers discussed how to plan to kill the dragon the whole night. They said, "The king doesn't believe us. He might not do anything to kill the dragon. We need to be united. Let's empty this big lake and kill this fierce dragon!" The next morning, they went to the lake and challenged, "Hey! The dragon! Show us where you are! You killed our sons! Come out of the water!" Then the dragon showed up and said, "If you can empty this lake, I will give you my powerful dragon scales. I will give you three of my scales." The three men decided to empty the lake. The next day, they started working to empty the lake. They knew it was extremely difficult work, but they didn't give up. They were throwing the water onto the land and occurred lots of mud pools. The water had become murky and muddy. Then the mud went into the dragon's eyes. The dragon couldn't stay in the lake anymore, so it went out of the lake. The men were checking whether the dragon was still inside the lake. Later, they saw the dragon scales floating toward them. There were four dragon scales; one was just half and the other three scales were in good condition. They took each scale and offered the ruined scale to the king. They said, "My king, this is the dragon scale from the lake." The king said, "I like it. Give it to me." They said, "We will give it to you, my king." Then the king presented them lots of jewelry as a return. They became rich and lived their lives happily. Since then, there has been a saying, "If three men are in a union, even an ocean can be empty." (It means there is nothing impossible if you are united.)
