After making the plate, he put it aside. Soon, Hpaumawk Gam came to him and asked, "Have you made the plate for me?" Ndup Hpaujung said, "I don't know where I put. I don't remember at all." Hpaumawk Gam said, "You sold it!" During that time, the copper plate didn't value much. It was just 2 or 3 kyats. It didn't even value 10 or 20 kyats. Then Ndup Hpaujung cursed with harm, "I don't sell your worthless plate. If I have sold it, shall the thunder strike me!" Hpaumawk Gam didn't make a big scene. They didn't get mad at each other. After a few days, they went to the field and happened to sleep there. It was the dry season, and there was no rain. They went there with their respective sons. They made a small campfire in the middle of the bedstead where they slept. They were sleeping on each side of the bedstead, and a campfire was in the middle of them. Suddenly at midnight, they heard the sound of the thunder. Hpaumawk Gam and his son were sleeping peacefully without noticing anything unusual. In fact, Ndup Hpaujung got hit by the thunder. He fell from the bedstead and rolled down the field. Fortunately, he fell into the bush. Hpaumawk Gam asked him loudly, "Hey, Hpaujung! Where are you?" Hpaujung replied, "I'm here." Hpaumawk Gam kept asking, "Are you alright? Did you get hurt?" Hpaujung said, "No, I'm okay." So, we should never curse with harm in any situation. Ndup Hpaujung slowly returned to the bedstead again. God heard his curse and let him face the result of his curse. It really happened in our village, Nam San Yang. My relatives from my daughter-in-law's side also told me about that kind of similar case when we went to Manmaw (Bamaw) for my son's wedding last year. The incident that happened in Manmaw was like some people were arguing over the land and cursed with harm. At that moment, the thunder struck, and there was a big crack on the land. The trees on that land were dead. Therefore, we should never curse with harm. We should never curse our generation or other people. Another incident happened in Zilun too. A kid hit his mother because of alcohol. He asked his mother to give him some money to drink alcohol. His mother didn't give him and said, "Go to the farm to work." The kid cursed his mother. But the mother cursed him back. Before he arrived at his family's farm, he saw his friends planting the grain seeds, so he helped them. At that time, he was hit by the thunder and died. His funeral was held at pastor Sumlut Naw's house. I don't know whether those incidents are told. I am telling you all I can remember.
