Title Mying shachyen yang amyu mying tsun ra ai lam (The Kachin clan names) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
The title is 'we should introduce our first name with a family name'. A long time ago, there was a family in a village called Ja Pu. The father volunteered to work for the community. He worked for the community that day. He had to help build a road. In the evening, he got some money after finishing his work. Then he drank alcohol. And he went back home and spent the night with his wife. While he was drunk, he was possessed by evil nat. Then he grabbed a knife and tried to stab people. His wife quickly went to the nat priest for help. They kept every dangerous material around him. They tried hard to make him sleep. And everyone guarded him. At that time, they heard a crow. After that, he jumped down through the window. When he was outside the house, some strong men took him somewhere. It was when the bridge was broken. The men took him by raft. They took him. There was no path on Nhkai Mt., but they were nat spirits. So they took him down that path. Later, they reached their place. Then they told their leader nat, "Here is the person you told us to take to you." The leader looked at him and said, "I get the human scent from him." He looked at him closely and said, "He is not the one! You made a mistake." The strong men said, "We took him by his name. It's him." The leader said, "No! He is not the one. Send him back." The men were shocked, and they sent him back to his place. They didn't send him to the front of his house. They took him to a farm. They took him to an orange farm. The drunk man said, "I don't know the right way to my house. Show me the way." The two strong men told him, "When you turn back, you will see the right way back to your house." Then they disappeared. The man looked at his way back home till the end. He looked at the way. And he looked at his body. Then he saw that there was nothing on his body. He was shocked. There was an old couple who lived on that orange farm. When the old man was walking around the farm, he found the man. He dressed him and took him back to his house. Actually, he had already been missing for four days. But he thought he was missing for only one day. The villagers were praying for him and holding a funeral. At that time, the old man took him back to his house. He could reunite with his wife. His funeral turned into a happy praying ceremony because they found him alive. That's why we should introdue our name with a family name. (not to be mistaken with other people)
