I will talk about an orphan boy who knew how to express gratitude. Once upon a time, there was a king who wanted to know his citizens' minds and attitudes. Then, he held a big event in his magnificent palace. Cows, buffaloes, and other animals were killed for the event, and the king celebrated the event. He invited his citizens for a meal. He treated them to the delicious dishes. The citizens ate the meal and went back home. The king waited for them at the gate and slapped every one once. The citizens were surprised that they had been slapped. At last, there was a poor wood collector. After he had finished eating, he asked the officials, "Where is the king? May I meet the king?" The officials took him to the king and said, "My lord, this man said he would like to meet you, so we bring him here." Then, the poor man said, "My king, I have never eaten this kind of delicious meal before. But you invited me and treated me to this meal. I'm so grateful for it. May you live longer. May you be healthy, my king. Thank you very much." The king felt very pleased and gave him some gold and money. People thought the poor man would get slapped when he came out of the palace. But he came out with plenty of gold and money. They were shocked and surprised. They were surprised because the man didn't get slapped and even received lots of presents. Then, they went to the king to ask for the reason. They asked the king, "My lord, all of us got slapped, but this poor man didn't get slapped and even got presents. Why? In what way is he different from us?" The king said, "Remember this! He is the purest man in my country. He knows how to show gratitude. He is righteous. So I rewarded him." After hearing what the king said, the citizens regretted. Therefore, we should teach our children to be people who know to say thank you and show gratitude. I tell you about it in this story.
