Title Law hpa ai num (An old woman who was too greedy to be a baby) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
Once upon a time, there was an old couple in a village. They two sold some woods to make a living. And they hadn't got any children. One day, the old man went into the forest to collect some woods. But he couldn't come back home at that night. He returned home in the next morning as a young man. It was because he drank some water from the stream in the forest. When the old man came back home after he had become young again, his old wife thought to herself, "Now, he is young and I am still old. We can't be the best match. I should drink that water too." And she asked him, "Where is the water that you drank?" The next day, she went there to drink water. She was greedy and drank a lot of water to be young. Since she drank a lot of water, she became a baby. And she couldn't go back home. I want to tell that women are always a bit greedy in any condition.
