Title Du bawng maumwi (The old man with a lump) with English translation
Description Translation (Gun Mai)
It is a story about a man with a goitre. A long time ago, there was a man with a big goitre. It was very big. There were many people with goitre in the past although we don't see much now. One day, the man with goitre travelled but it got dark on the way so he slept in a cemetery. When he was sleeping in the cemetery, he had a dream. In the dream, a man was asking him that "Hi friend, can you borrow me the bottle?" He said that "Yes, OK. I will let you use." The man with goitre borrowed the man the bottle in the dream. When he woke up in the morning, his goitre was disappeared. He was very happy and when he backed from his journey, his friend asked that "Friend, you were with a very big goitre before you travel but you have nothing. Where did you leave it? How did you cure it?" The man said that "When I was travelling, as it got dark on the way, I slept in a cemetery. I dreamt there and in my dream, a man came to me and borrowed the bottle. So, I borrow him and it was cured when I woke up in the morning." There was another man who was also with a big goitre and he also heard what the first man said. So, he thought to himself that "Yeah... it is very good. I also really wanted to be cured of my goitre. No girl like me because of this goitre. Also difficult to go party." Thus, he intentionally went to the cemetery even though he did not need to travel and slept there. In the dream, a man said to the man that "Friend, I come to give back the bottle that I borrowed from you recently." When the man woke up in the morning, after he dreamt about the man returned the bottle, now he got even two big goitres although he only had one goitre before. It got worse for him.
