Title Lasi pawng mi a lam (The soybean) with English translation
Description Translation (Seng Pan)
This about a tin of soybean. There was a wealthy woman. She always fulfilled the needs of the people around her. She also helped their Business. Even when the religion needed her hand, she was always there. She was wealthy and lived in a good life. On the day she passed away, the gatekeepers of heaven asked the questions. "Did you finish all the works?" they asked. "Yes, I did. Nothing has left behind. I did so many charities. I helped the needy persons," she answered. "Ok. But you don't have permission to enter heaven. You have to go to the hell," they replied. "Why couldn't I go to heaven? I did many charities. Why not me?" the woman complained. So, the gatekeepers checked their note and said, "You borrowed a tin of soybean from a widow. And you didn't give back to her. That's why you have to go to hell." "No, I don't want to go there. I will pay back my loan first and go to heaven. Please allow me to give back my loan to her!" she requested. Then she reincarnated as a hen in the widow's house. To pay back her loan, a tin of soybean, she laid an egg for a soybean. Even though she died, she reincarnated as a hen, again and again, to pay back her loan.
