Description Moi shawng de da kahtawng langai mi kaw e la kasha lahkawng nga ai da. Rai jang shan lahkawng gaw hkau chyawm gaw nhkau shi ai raitim mung grai lagawn ai da, bungli galaw grai lagawn ai da. Rai jang she bungli ngalaw ai sha shat lu sha na shara shi gaw tam hkawm ai hku rai nga. Rai jang lani mi shi dai hku wam hkawm wa.. dai hku hkawm ai ten manang langai hte hkrum ai da. "Manang wa e bungli n-gun ndat ra ai sha i n-gun ndat ra ai sha gumhpraw lu ai shara dai hku majoi nga let lu sha ai shara she tam hkawm ga" nga myit shan lahkawng gaw dai hku bungli nkam galaw ai shada le i grai lagawn ai shada dai hku hkrum nna shan hkawng gaw dai hku jahta hkat ai da. Collection title Kachin folktales told in Jinghpaw
Description Recordings of Kachin folktales and related narratives in Jinghpaw. These materials were collected by Keita Kurabe, Gumtung Lu Awng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, Labang Tu La, Gumtung Htu Nan, and Lashi Seng Nan as part of community-based collaborative fieldwork in northern Myanmar. A total of 2,491 stories with 2,481 ELAN files, 2,481 transcriptions, and 1,437 translations are currently available (November 23, 2024). Transcriptions were contributed by Gumtung Lu Awng, Pausa La Ring, Galang Lu Hkawng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, and Keita Kurabe. Stories were translated by Nbanpa Rita Seng Mai, Sumlut Gun Mai, Lazing Htoi San, Maran Seng Pan, Dumdaw Mike Tu Awng, Nhkum Htoi Awng, and Keita Kurabe.
