The story I'm going to tell is about an orphan. A long time ago, there was an orphan in a village. He lived with his grandmother. The king ruled many villages, including the village where the orphan boy lived. And there were many servants and guards in the palace. One day, the king and his servants went hunting for some animals in the dense forest. The king went separately with his servants. Unfortunately, he met a ghoul there. The ghoul said, "I will eat you all." The king was afraid and begged, "Don't eat me yet, please." The ghoul said, "Then, what will you do for me? Will you let me eat your citizens every day?" The king agreed, "Yes, you can eat them." So, the ghoul released him. When the king got back to the palace, he was depressed and thought so hard about the solution to this problem. Then, the king called all the citizens and told them about it. He decided to let them draw lots. The one who got the unlucky lot would need to go to the ghoul. He or she would be eaten. Then, the princess got the unlucky lot one day. The king didn't know what to do. He didn't want to send his daughter to the ghoul. So, he announced, "The one who can kill the ghoul will be the consort of the princess." The orphan boy heard the news. He told his grandmother to prepare a pack of rice, a bamboo hat and a pair of slippers for him. The grandmother packed all the things which he asked for. He took those things and went into the forest. After few hours, he reached the place where the ghoul lived. He shouted, "Hey!" At that time, the ghoul came towards him and threatened, "Why are you coming here? Don't dare to step on my land!" The orphan boy said, "I didn't step on your land. I am standing on slippers. The ghoul said, "Then, don't stay under the trees which I have planted!" The orphan boy said, "I didn't stay under your trees. I am standing under the shade that the hat provides. And this hat is made by my grandmother." Then, the ghoul didn't know what to say and felt afraid of the boy. The orphan boy gave a pack of cooked rice and said, "Take this and get out of this place!" The ghoul was frightened and took it. He ran away quickly. Then, the boy went to the palace and said to the king, "My king, I drove the ghoul away from this place. Let me marry your daughter." The king couldn't believe him and said, "How could a boy like you drive the ghoul away!? It's impossible." The boy said, "Let's go check if he really ran away or not." When they went to the forest to check, the ghoul was not there anymore. The king finally believed him and let his daughter marry him.
