Title Tinang hkum shagrit shanem ai (A humble violinist) with English translation
Description Translation (Htoi Awng)
Once upon a time, there was a violinist in a village. He was a talented violinist. He could produce nice melody anytime. One day, he competed in a competition and got the first prize. He was proud of himself, but he was not very happy. He thanked his violin teacher. One day, the king invited him because he was a great violinist. The king said to him, "Play the violin at my celebration." The boy said, "Yes, I will." On that day, he went to the palace to play the violin. He played sweet melody. So, the king praised him for doing a good job. And the king gave lots of presents to him. The boy was very humble. He said, "It's not because I'm so good. It's all because of my teacher who has taught me patiently. So, please gift the prize to my teacher, not to me." The king told him, "Then, escort your teacher here." Then, he went to call his master. He escorted his teacher to the palace. The king said, "You are a good teacher. You two are talented in violin. So, I want to gift you." The king gifted lots of things to the boy and his teacher.
