Title Chyahkan kawp (The shell of the crab) with English translation
Description Translation (Seng Pan)
This is about the shell of the crab. Regarding the shell of the crab, a long time ago, the women did shifting cultivation. When they harvested the crops in Htingra field (the field has cultivated the rice for the first time), they had to build a Yishap (It's a kind of hut with two pillars, and it is like the crab shell). A wife said to her husband, "Go and build a crab shell!" Her husband went to the shifting field and tried to catch a crab all day long. He caught a crab and took off its shell. He put it on a stub. In the evening, the wife asked, "Have you done?" "Yes, I have," the husband replied. The next day, the wife went and checked it. But she couldn't find how hard she looked for. She didn't see any huts. "Where is it? I don't see it," the wife asked. "There! It's on the stub," the husband replied. The wife got shocked. Actually, she just said the crab shell as an example.
