Title Ma Gam hte gwi (Ma Gam and his dog) with English translation
Description Translation (Htoi San)
Once upon a time, the eldest son (Ma Gam) kept a dog which he was much dearest. This story is about Ma Gam and his clever dog. Ma Gam loved dogs so much, and he kept a puppy as his pet. His dog followed him wherever he went, even to his work; it guarded him there. One day, he was tired and fell asleep while his dog was watching him. A friend of Ma Gam came and visited him when Ma Gam was sleeping. The dog was not familiar with Ma Gam’s friend, so it barked at him. Ma Gam woke up from his sleep and found out his dog was about to bite and attack his friend. Ma Gam saw his friend and said, "Come here, my friend," and his friend replied, "E, your dog almost bit me and attacked me, so I could not come to you." So as Ma Gam got up and greeted his friend warmly, his dog became friendly to his owner’s friend.
