There was once a couple who loved each other so much in a village. One day, a friend of the wife gave a mirror to them as a present. The wife just kept the mirror in a box. Then, her husband saw that mirror while he was looking for something in the box. He saw himself in the mirror and was so shocked. He thought, "My wife is so happy these days because she has a young paramour." He was angry at his wife. He shouted at her, "You have another young man behind me!" His wife said, "No! What did you hear or see? I don't have any affairs." He said, "Go and check in your box. You will see him." So, she looked at the mirror in the box and saw herself instead of a man. She was angry at him and said, "It's you who have a mistress. You don't like me anymore, right? That's why you pick a fight with me." They fought every day and felt unhappy whatever they did. One day, they decided to go to a fortune-teller. The husband said, "She has a young paramour." The wife also said, "He has a mistress too." Then, the fortune-teller asked them, "Do you have any evidence to prove your words?" They answered, "Yes, we have. It's in the box at home." The fortune-teller said, "Then, go get your box." They took the box and came back to him. He looked at the mirror inside the box and saw himself. When they three looked at the mirror together, their faces showed up in the mirror. The fortune-teller knew what that was and told them, "This is the object which you can see you, yourself when you look at it. There is no mistress or paramour. You see yourself." Since then, the couple didn't fight anymore and lived happily forever. This is not the end yet. I have seen that kind of person who didn't know what mirror was. At the place where I live, there was an old woman called Jang Dau. She is the wife of a man who belongs to Ndau clan. She had a big face and big lips. One morning, she went to a market at Gang Dau Yang (village) with her two friends. On their way to the market, there was a mirror hanging in front of one Shan's house. (Shan is one of the minority groups and ethnic groups in Myanmar.) She unintentionally walked past in front of the mirror and saw herself. But she didn't know that the image was she. She said, "Oh! Who is that ugly woman with a big face and big lips?" Her friends, who already knew what mirror was, told her, "It's you. You see yourself in the mirror." She said, "Oh! I am that ugly." There was an event like that in the past. This is not a story. It's the end.
