Sharaw she, "E, hkau Nambya nang dai kaw hpa galaw nga ni?" ngu yang she, "E, ndai kaw moi Aji ni, Awoi ni goi ai n-goi, n-goi goi wa goi hkyen nga nngai. Ndai kaw gaw, grai pyaw ai nbung katsi shalawt la, goi ai re." ngu. "E, rai yang gaw ngai hpe mung goi shangun yu rit le. Ngai mung goi yu ga le." ngu ai da. Shaloi she, "E, ya nang goi na rai yang gaw htaw ahkyet mi le, akawng mi le, ahkyet mi le, akawng mi hkre rai jang ngai, lahpyaw hpyaw jang, goi u yaw." bai ngu ai hku rai ri nga ai. Dai kaw she Manau manau hkyen ai zawn zawn rai, Nambya shi mung Lagat ni chyawm kawa sat u ga Sharaw hpe ngu ai hku rai nga, shaloi she, dai kaw she, hkyen nga yang she dai kaw bai wa dep sai da Sharaw. "Ya Nambya nang dai kaw hpa rai hpum nga nni rang?" nga "Dai kaw hpa hpum, hkum tsun. Ndai ngai moi Aji Awoi ni a Manau manau ai Naura wa manau hkyen nga ai re." ngu. Shaloi she, "Rai yang, ngai bai manau yu ga le rang. Ngai bai manau yi ga le rang." ngu jang she, "E, nang bai manau na rai jang gaw ngai htaw kawng mi hkroi, hkyet mi hkroi, kawng mi le jang, lahpyaw hpyaw dat jang goi u yaw." bai ngu sai da. Shaloi she, dai kaw she kaja wa bai gat mat wa yang she, lahpyaw hpyaw dat jang she, shi gaw dai kaw rawt buk bak bang wa ri sai, ngoi wa jang she Gat Shang ni she kawa dat ai da. Shaloi jang she, shapyi hkan pyi lapau lahkak rai, Nambya e mana galaw na lagat e kawa ya ai hku rai ri nga. Dai kawn bai pawt wa ri sai gaw, pawt mat wa jang gaw, htaw.. lakung pa kaw she, hpun lakung lawu kaw she bai wa dung nga sai da. Dai kaw gat kung noi nga. Dai kaw bai wa dung nga yang she, "Ya, Nambya nang ya dai kaw hpa baw bai galaw hkyen nga nni?" ngu. "Hpa galaw law e, ngai ndai moi na Aji Awoi ni a, 'N dum mai Bausa' ngu ai rai nga. Ndai dum dat yang manu mana lamu ga she gara wa ai re." ngu jang she, "Hka rang, ngai bai dum yu ga rang." bai ngu sai da. "E, nang dum na rai jang gaw, ndai nang dum na rai jang ya ngai, ahkyet mi le, akawng mi hkre re ai kaw, lahpyaw hpyaw dat na shaloi dum u yaw." bai ngu. Shaloi she dai kaw, shi gaw bai gat mat wa sai da. Gat mat wa yang, htaw lahpyaw hpyaw yang she, dai lagat dai wa she lahtum shabawng dat jang, shaloi yawng shi kaw bai ahkum kaw bai puk da. Shaloi she, "Ndai gaw ngai hpe mana galaw ai re." ngu na she bai wa yang she htaw.. (Shan Krang) wa mi gyit dun tawn, dun tawn ai makau kaw she, ndai kaw she bai nga nga sai da. Shaloi she, "E, ya Nambya nang ya mung dai kaw hpa naw galaw nga ta?" bai ngu da. Shaloi she, "E, hpa galaw galaw i, ngai ndai kaw manu mana jawn pyaw ai, moi Aji Awoi ni jawn ai (Hkyiba) jawn hkyen ai rai nga nngai." ngu ai da. Shaloi she, "Hka rang gaw, nang jawn na rai jang, ngai shawng jawn shangun u le." bai ngu ai da. Shaloi she, "Mai ai le, ya ngai oh hkyet mi hkrai, kawng mi le rai jang lahpyaw hpyaw jang jawn u yaw." bai ngu ai da. Shaloi she kaja wa dai kaw bai gat mat wa. lahpyaw hpyaw dat ai hte she dai wa jawn mara dat ai hte she dai kaw ari buk bak nshe yawng daru achya kau dat ai hku rai ri nga ai. Collection title Kachin folktales told in Jinghpaw
Description Recordings of Kachin folktales and related narratives in Jinghpaw. These materials were collected by Keita Kurabe, Gumtung Lu Awng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, Labang Tu La, Gumtung Htu Nan, and Lashi Seng Nan as part of community-based collaborative fieldwork in northern Myanmar. A total of 2,491 stories with 2,481 ELAN files, 2,481 transcriptions, and 1,426 translations are currently available (October 19, 2024). Transcriptions were contributed by Gumtung Lu Awng, Pausa La Ring, Galang Lu Hkawng, Sumdu Ja Seng Roi, Hpauhkum Htu Bu, and Keita Kurabe. Stories were translated by Nbanpa Rita Seng Mai, Sumlut Gun Mai, Lazing Htoi San, Maran Seng Pan, Dumdaw Mike Tu Awng, Nhkum Htoi Awng, and Keita Kurabe.
