Title Ngwi ai num kasha a lam (The brave girl) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
Many years ago, many passengers were travelling to another place by ship. Unfortunately, a strong storm hit the ship. They were rowing hard not to sink, but they couldn't control the ship any longer since the storm was too strong. The captain couldn't control the ship anymore. There were many young kids and women on the ship. The passengers were praying and crying out loud. It was a disaster. The captain used small lifeboats to save the young children and women. However, the lifeboats couldn't stand amidst the storm. At that time, a girl, about 18 years old, was walking along the beach. She saw that many people were in trouble. She wanted to rescue them desperately. She quickly ran towards them. She swam back and forth and saved one after another. She could save everyone. When she was on the beach, she couldn't help falling asleep because she was exhausted. After some time, she woke up. She saw people who were feeling cold and hungry. Then she walked back to her village and came back to the beach with a group of villagers. She and the villagers treated the victims of the disaster well and fed them some food. They were thankful for the girl. They had been praising and grateful to the girl. The king heard that news and awarded many valuable objects to the girl. The girl had been awarded because she helped everyone, even in a difficult situation.
