Title Kasha masum lu ai la (Food without salt) with English translation
Description Translation (Gun Mai)
Once upon a time, there was a man who only has three daughters. His wife had passed away but he had a lot of properties. So, he lived happily with his daughters. One day, when the man was getting old, he thought himself that, "Hm.... among my three daughters, who will be the one who loves me more. I will give my properties more to the one who loves me more". The father and the three daughters, so it is four persons. Isn't it? The man thought that he would give his portion of the properties to a daughter who loved him more. Thus, he tested. "Dear my daughters, come to me today". The first daughter came to him first. When the first daughter got to him, he asked "Dear my first daughter, how much do you love me, your dad?" The first daughter answered that "Dad, I love you much more than a lot of golds, money, and properties". The father thought himself that "My first daughter doesn't love even the gold and she loves me more than the gold. She is very good." So, he shared a quarter portion of his properties. "OK! Now, my second daughter's turn. Dear second daughter, how much do you love me?" asked the father. The second daughter answered that "Dear Dad, I love you more than everything that exists in this world". The father said "OK! my second daughter is also very good" and he shared another quarter portion of his properties with his second daughter. There are still two-quarters of the properties remains. Right? "Now, my third daughter's turn. Dear third daughter, come to me and how much do you love me, your dad?" asked the father. The third daughter answered that "Dear Dad, I love you as much as salt". Thus, the father got very angry. "You just compare me SUCH the salt!! You should not be my daughter anymore from today. I will drive off you from my house. I will also not share my properties with you" "Get out from my house," said the father angrily. Then, the third daughter thought herself that "Although I love my Dad very much, my Dad said such so but I will ask one more favour to my Dad" and she said that "Dear Dad, if you don't love me that much and want me to leave from your house, I would like to request only one more thing". The father asked her that "What do you want to request?" The third daughter answered that "Before I leave you, I would like to serve a meal for the whole family and relatives". "OK, serve it. You can prepare as best as you like. I will pay for it" said the father. So, the third daughter prepared a meal of the highest standard with various meats. She also asked other helpers because of the variety of meats and foods. But, none of the food is added salt. When the food is ready, she called everybody and served the meal. When the people were having the meal, a group of people said that "Although there are many curries and meats in today's meal, there is no salt. It is nothing." The other group also said that "Today's meal is nothing good." Everybody said so and just left the house without eating the meal. When the father saw that the people were not eating, he asked that "Why you are not eating?". The people answered that "it is such terrible taste as there is no salt". So, he also tried the foods and the taste is nothing good. "Oh... I understand now. Please people, don't leave yet," said the father. "I am guilty now. When I tested my daughters about how much they love me, my third daughter said she loves me as much as the salt. So, I got angry and told her to leave my house". "But, now I understand that the salt is an essential thing. No matter how much prepared to be delicious, it is useless without salt. I regret now." "Therefore, I will not tell my third daughter to leave from house anymore. I will share my portion of the properties and also her portion that I was about to share her elder sisters to my third daughter". The father apologized and announced like that. And, he also not drove off his third daughter anymore and they happily lived together.
