This is about three businessmen. One of them was brazen. Three of them usually went on business trips together. The other two friends always felt shame because of him. The two friends always told him not to act brazenly. However, it was his habit. He couldn't get rid of that habit. While they were on their trip, they rested at one house. The houseowner couple was stingy. They raised some chickens at home. In the past, it was common for the houseowner to welcome guests warmly. They had to treat chicken or fermented rice liquor. It showed that the guests were warmly welcomed. No one was really stingy. However, this house owner seemed to be stingy. The three travellers saw that there were some chickens, but they were not treated. They were just waiting for dinner. The guests didn't need to help with cooking. When it was dinner time, there were rice, pounded chilli, and soup on the table. There was no meat curry. The two friends didn't complain about the curry and just ate what the house owner offered. However, their brazen friend saw a cat sitting next to the fireplace. Then he picked up a stick and beat the cat. The house owner saw him trying to beat the cat. The house owner's wife asked him, "What is happening?" The man answered, "This cat stole my chicken curry." Then she said, "Alright, let's kill a chicken." She was embarrassed and cooked chicken curry for the guests. His two friends were a bit shy, but they got to eat chicken curry because of their brazen friend. They continued their trip. They arrived at a village during the day. There were some people staying at home in the mountain area to serve if they had guests. The three of them asked permission from one house to be their guests. They saw a bunch of ripe bananas on the shelf above the fireplace. They were tired and hungry, so they just lay down. They happened to see the bananas. They said, "Wanna eat those bananas. They look so tasty. What shall we do?" The brazen man said, "I will act like a crazy person." Then he started acting like a mad man. The lady in the house was surprised and asked, "What is happening?" His two friends said, "He is losing his mind." She asked them, "What do you feed him to be a normal person at that time?" They said, "We feed him bananas. He is getting his senses back after eating bananas." She offered them bananas and said, "Eat these bananas. Eat them." They didn't eat any rice that day. Later, they continued their trip. They carried the bunch of bananas and continued their trip. When they reached another village, they prepared to eat rice at one village's house. It seemed like the owner was a bit lazy. He cooked a clean soup without many ingredients and served them. At that time, the brazen man fell to the ground suddenly. The house owner asked what was wrong with him. His two friends said, "He is just shocked after seeing his face on the surface of the soup." Then the house owner cooked a delicious meal for them this time and treated them. After that, they kept going on their business trip. When they arrived in another village, they were the guests at one Maru old woman's house. (Maru is one of the tribes in Jinghpaw.) The old lady cooked a meal for them. She cooked Kadu leaves which had a bitter taste. In the Maru language, it is called Hkandau. After hearing the woman say she was cooking Hkandau, the three friends assumed, "She is cooking a wildcat that is trapped in a trap." (Hkan in Jinghpaw means wildcat.) She couldn't speak Jinghpaw and said in Maru, "Hkandau. Hkandau." But they thought that they got to eat wildcat meat. So they were searching for the wildcat around the house. However, they didn't see any wildcats trapped in the trap around the house. Then they asked her, "Grandma, where is the wildcat that is trapped?" She just showed the bitter leaves and gave them to cook and eat. This is the story of the travellers.
