Title Hpaji rawng ai wa hte nyan nrawng ai wa (The wise and the fool who built the house) with English translation
Description Translation (Gun Mai)
The title of the story is a wise man and a stupid man. Long long ago in a villager, there were two friends. They studied and learned skills together at school. One day, they built houses. When they were building houses, one friend was - his name was Naw Naw. Naw Naw was a wise man because studied education so he built his house on a rock. So, he was building the house on a rock. Another friend's name was Amyu. Amyu said to Naw Naw that "Ha.. do you build your house on the rock?" "Yes, I am building on the rock," Naw Naw said. Amyu said that "I will build my house beside a river. I will build on the sand beside the river." So, they continued to build their houses. Amyu was also building his house on the sand and Naw Naw was also building his house on the rock. They had finished their house and they stayed in their respective house. One day, there was a storm. The storm hit them strongly and also increase waves. Because of the strong storm, Amyu's house that was built on the sand was destroyed by the storm and gone through the river. But, because Naw Naw's house was built on the rock, his house was firmed and he stayed safely there. Amyu's house was gone by the storm. So, he had no more house to stay and he said to Naw Naw that "Naw Naw (the storyteller said Amyu here), you told me not to build on the sand and to build on the rock but I did not listen to you. I was very wrong. I have no house to stay. Let me stay at your house while I am building a house again." Naw Naw said that "Yes, friend. We are friends. Let's stay together." Then, Amyu stayed with Naw Naw until his house was finished. Amyu built his house on the rock as Naw Naw said. Amyu accepted the suggestion that Naw Naw provided him. Amyu built his house on the rock and it was last for very long.
