Description: Devayan is an Austronesian language spoken on Simeulue Island off Sumatra. This collection mainly includes recordings of the Devayan dialect, though there are a few recordings of the Simalur dialect and the Sigulai language which is spoken in northern Simeulue. The data was collected in 2024 in several places on Simeulue Island including Sinabang, Kampung Ae, Busung, Matanurung and Pasir Tinggi. This collection includes elicitation, wordlists, personal narratives and stimuli tasks.
