Description |
A recording in which Chow Kyen Gohain of Pawimukh villages pronounces some Tai Khamyang words for Dr Banchob Bandhumedha to test the tones and vowels of the Tai Khamyang languages.
This was recorded on a small reel-to-reel tape in about 1970 by Dr. Banchob at Pawaimukh village. The tape was a Magnetophonband BASF tape (Red Cover) Typ LGS 26 - No 3. It was digitized by Jürgen Schöpf at the Phonogrammarchiv in Vienna, and cut by Stephen Morey. Julia Miller of the PARADISEC archive (https://catalog.paradisec.org.au/) created a video version with a photo of Dr. Banchob and the original sound so that this file could be uploaded to YouTube.
Notes: Dr Banchob's original metadata, in the form of notes on the back of the tape box, was photographed as Scan of Banchob Tape cover_OB3 |
