Title
Nemagu's two sons
Description
Traditional story
This story is about the place referred to as Nodup where an old man named Nemagu settled and over time the population grew as a village in the area. At the time of cannibalism, his two sons went out in search of their prey and attached from their hiding places spotting the victim killed with their fighting clubs. They then prepared and roasted the body as food and fed themselves.
A few days later the relatives of the victim were searching then found out he was killed by the people of Vunabui so there was retaliation with the killing of ToBirbir and houses were burnt.
The story continues to the land in the area sold to a German couple for tobacco and necklaces for a plantation. It further describes how the clan land also was given to the Catholic Mission where the Kuragaga Parish church was established.
