Markos Koumoulas, David Bindi Hudson (Ewamian/Western Yalanji), David’s daughter and artist, Jedess Hudson (Ewamian/Western Yalanji), and linguist, Cassy Nancarrow, meet at Cassy’s home in Kuranda, Queensland on Sep. 1, 2022, to review Wamin vocabulary and grammar. Much of the conversation explores a number of approaches for describing specific characteristics of local flora and fauna on Ewamian Country. Subsequently, new words and expressions are constructed. Four song stories are evaluated in preparation for recording later in the month.
