This is the story of "The Foolish Man." Once upon a time, there was a foolish man in a village. One day, the man said to his parents, "Give me the money I need." "I am leaving this house." No matter what his parents said, he wouldn't listen. The parents gave him the money. The man took the money and left. When he left, he came across a man cooking rice in a stone pot. At that moment, the foolish man thought the stone pot was something valuable and said to the man cooking, "My friend, let's trade your stone pot for my money." The man who was cooking agreed, "Sure." He traded the stone pot for the money. After the exchange, the foolish man tried to cook with the stone pot, but it wouldn't heat properly, and he became angry. However, he couldn't do anything about it, so he carried the stone pot and continued his journey. As he traveled further, he met a man carrying a sack of salt. He said to the man, "Hey, my friend, let's trade my stone pot for your salt." The man with the salt agreed, "Alright, let's trade." They exchanged the items once again. Now, the foolish man carried the salt and thought, "Alright, I'll come back for this salt when I return." "I'll hide it here for now." He decided to leave the salt in a nearby pond. After about a year had passed, he returned to the pond to retrieve the salt he had hidden. When he searched for it, the salt had dissolved completely into the water. The foolish man thought, "My salt should be here." "Who took it?" He became very angry and kept searching until he found a frog. Angrily, the man said, "Frog! Was it you?" "Are you the one who took all my salt?" He tied up the frog and took it with him, stopping at a house to stay for the night. He tied the frog to a post in the house. The household's rooster pecked at it and ate it. At that moment, the foolish man said to the homeowner, "Your rooster ate my precious frog." "You must compensate me immediately." The homeowners didn't know what to do, so they gave the rooster to him. The foolish man took the rooster and went to another village. When he arrived in the village, he tied the rooster at a house and went out to play. The house he tied the rooster at was a house in mourning, and the family there killed the rooster and ate it. They placed its feathers into the mouth of the deceased. When the foolish man returned, he saw the feathers in the mouth of the corpse and exclaimed, "This corpse ate my rooster!" "You must compensate me with this corpse!" The family didn't know what else to do and gave him the corpse. When the man carried the corpse away, he became very tired and rested by the roadside. At that moment, an elephant passed by and stepped on the corpse. The foolish man then said to the elephant's owner, "When my father was lying on the road," "your elephant stepped on him!" "So, you must compensate me with this elephant!" The owners, believing the elephant had killed someone, without argument, gave their elephant to the man.
