I'm going to talk about the story of the Mali and Nmai Rivers. In the past, the Mali and Nmai Rivers did not flow separately as they do today. They flowed together in harmony. One day, they set out on a journey to the plains. As they slept at night on their journey, one night, they talked each other. "My friend, when you wake up tomorrow, please wake me up." "If I wake up first, I will wake you up." Then, they went to sleep. But the next morning, when the Nmai River was still sleeping, the Mali River quietly flowed away. Then, after a while, when the Mai River woke up, it saw the Mali River flowing in the distance. The Nmai River said, "No! I must catch up with the Mali River!" It flowed down with all its might, taking a shortcut through the mountains. So today, although the Mali River is flowing silently downstream, the Nmai River is flowing very fast because it chased the Mali River. It flowed as if cutting a mountain path, so there are many stones. Like that, the two rivers began to flow separately.
