Once upon a time, there was a shaman in a village. He had a powerful string of beads. There were many small beads on that string. Near his home, there was a small pond. He usually got out of it just to make the villagers feel scared of him. "If I throw this string of beads at your village, it will be destroyed! Worship me and give me what I want. Give me chickens and meat once every two weeks. And offer me money and gold," he declared. The villagers were scared of him. There were two sisters in that village too. The villagers offered meat and money to the shaman whenever he appeared before them. Then, they gradually became poor. They had to give him those offerings once every two weeks, so they became poor. They couldn't even afford daily food because they had to give everything to the shaman. One day, the two sisters went to the pond to take a bath. In the deepest part of the pond, they found something shimmering. They were curious and said, "What is that?" The elder sister picked up that shining thing. The younger sister said, "Sister, is that a power string of beads, isn't it?" The elder sister said, "It might be. Let's check it at home." "If it is indeed the shaman's string, we can refuse to give offerings to him," they said. They polished the beads at home. They were so shining. Since the beads were wet, the sisters placed them under the sun to dry. The beads were shining brightly. They had a shiny color and grew slightly larger. The beads had a shiny color. There was a dry tree somewhere near where the sisters were standing. The brightness of the beads touched the tree, causing it to turn green and beautiful. When the brightness of the beads touched the fruit tree, it began to bear an abundance of fruit. When it touched the rice plants, they produced an abundance of grains. Then, the two sisters said, "The shaman once told us that if he threw this string at our village, it would be destroyed. It is not true at all! This string of beads is a great help to us. The trees are bearing lots of fruit and becoming greener. Let's go tell the villagers about it." They went to the village and told the villagers about it. They said, "Let's not be afraid, even if the shaman threatens us with this string of beads." The villagers agreed with them. They discussed, "When the shaman shows up in two weeks, let's catch him." Two weeks after their meeting, the shaman came to the village. He said, "The villagers! Come worship me and give me what you have." The villagers refused, "No, we won't give you anything." The villagers bravely said, "We can't give you anything. Why should we? You are just bullying us!" He said, "If you refuse to give me offerings, I will use my string of beads to kill all of you." They said, "We have two sisters who will save us." The two sisters stepped forward in front of him. They said, "We have bigger beads. We are not afraid of you." The shaman threatened them, "If I use it, you will be dead." The villagers walked toward him and said, "Let us see your beads! Where? How powerful are they? Can you really kill us with those beads?" They asked him many questions and attacked him. At that moment, the two sisters quietly entered the shaman's house to find the box where the beads were kept. At the corner, they found the box. When they opened it, there were lots of small beads inside it. They secretly took the box. "If you really want to see the beads, I will show you," the shaman said to the villagers. He went home to get the box. The box went missing. He said, "My beads are gone." Then the villagers said, "You don't have any beads! We do! We are not afraid of you." They arrested the shaman and tied him tightly. They pushed him off the cliff where he lived. They killed him. The two sisters took every gold, money and other valuable things from the shaman's house and sold them. They divided the money equally and distributed it to the villagers. The villagers became rich from that day.
