Title Fumon Talks
Description Side A: Igorot Music
Flute Player (unidentified) at Mrs. Chollipas shop, Bontoc
Flute playing & singing of Fatog Fag-kew of Jocvcan near Bontoc (Tingalay Tribe)
Gangsa playing at a nanop-chop (ceremony for curing sick women) , Banave (Ifugao Tribe)
Not to be ingested.
Side B: Fumon Lesson
Includes demonstration of possible variants of 'te' in "Sakuragari" | The lesson with Fumon was recorded on side B of a cassette on which music performed by people I'd met during a holiday in the Philippines had been recorded on side A. This was because I'd taken the cassette along to my lesson to play parts of it for Fumon, then found I had no blank cassettes with me for recording the lesson itself! In due course perhaps side A can be ingested as a separate item of music from northern Luzon.
