Title |
Traditional stories of Kolombaghea |
Description |
Traditional stories of Kolombaghea/[Kolombangara?] told by Piasibule of Hunda. Cassette box says: Naisi Luna. Oral tradition, N.N.Georgia, 83, John Keopo. Date of recording unknown.
"This is not a recording from Kolombangara. References within the recording make clear it was recorded in the Dekuruna district (an old name for the Hoava district) of North New Georgia. It is recorded in Solomon Pijin. Possibly the cassette title was actually 'Kolombaghea', a locality within the Dekuruna district, rather than 'Kolombangara', an island to the west." (comment from Ian Scales, 2024)
