Title Mentawai Buttui wordlist
Description A wordlist of 1228 items in the Mentawai Language. The list was recorded with Awati Sali Salakirat in two sessions: morning 22/05/2023, evening 22/05/2023, and evening 23/05/2023. Due the 20 minute limit of the recording device there are 3 recordings in total

2. 250-809 (recorded 04/07/2022, by Dendi Wijaya)
3. 810-1228 (recorded 05/07/2022, by Dendi Wijaya)

OCSEAN-MWV_20230523-WORDLIST_TYPED.exl contains the 1228 items as filled out by Dendi Wijaya. This contains a mix of phonetic and phonemic transcriptions. This is a transcription of the recording.

OCSEAN-MWV_20230523-WORDLIST_txt.pdf contains a txt version of items 1-1228.

OCSEAN-MWV_20230523-WORDLIST.txt is a text file which contains the cleaned up version of all the Mentawai data collected. Orthographic transcriptions are those made by Dendi Wijaya (and present in OCSEAN-MWV_20230523-WORDLIST.excel) phonetic transcriptions were also made by Dendi Wijaya.

Collection title Wordlists of languages of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea
Description Recordings and transcription of a large wordlist (c. 1,100 items) for 10 language varieties of Indonesia and one language of Papua New Guinea. Additional textual data and other materials were collected for a subset of languages.

Made as part of the OCSEAN (OCeanic and South East Asian Navigators; MSCA-RISE-2019, Project Number 873207) project. The items containing materials from languages of Indonesia were collected during fieldwork in Indonesia in 2023 and 2024. The item containing materials for the language from Papua New Guinea was collected during the linguistic summer school held in Tartu, Estonia, in 2024.
