Title Conversation in Suka Menanti between an uncle and his niece at Sarkawi's house
Description This is a recording of a conversation in Kaur between an uncle, Sarkawi, and his niece, Rika. The conversation was recorded in the living room of Sarkawi's house in Suka Menanti. Audio was recorded using a 4-channel Tascam DR-701D. Rika is wearing an AKG C520 headset microphone and Sarkawi is wearing a Shure SM35 headset microphone; both are recorded in Mono through the Tascam DR-701D. Audio was recorded in wav format at 128kHz, 32 bit. Video was recorded in two ways. The first was a Canon XA30, which has an external audio input, set up on a tripod. Camera audio was recorded using a R√∏de NTG2 shotgun microphone connected through the camera's external audio input. Video was recorded in AVCHD format at 30fps with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Additionally a Vuze+ 3D camera was used to record 360 degree and 3D video in MP4 format at 30fps.

Informed consent was recorded at the beginning of the session, and the conversation begins at around the 00:02:05 timestamp when Bradley, Jacob, and Anton leave the room. Sarkawi smokes intermittently throughout the session. They watch video on Sarkawi's phone from: 00:06:59 to 00:08:06, and the audio can be heard in the recording. Sarkawi makes a phone call starting at 00:16:16, and which lasts until 00:16:59. From 00:31:26 they play a game where Rika has a pack of Magnum cigarettes stuck to her forehead, and she pretends to try and guess what it is; Sarkawi records a video on his phone. Then from 00:32:17 they watch the video on his phone, and the audio can be heard in the recording. They watch until 00:33:26. The audio from the video can be heard from Sarkawi's phone again at 00:38:00 as he watches the video again. It continuously plays in the background of their conversation over the next several minutes. At 00:42:55 Sarkawi plays music from his phone. At the 43:26 timestamp the audio recorder turned off. Only the camera audio recording of the remaining conversation is available from then until 00:55:31 when the researchers return to collect metadata. Automobile noise and sounds of people and animals from outside can be heard loudly in the recording during this part.
