About Miku
Description
Some background about the Miku. Mr. Maung Kan explained that the dances and language of the Miku was very similar to that of the Yawngkon (Kon) and that in former times they did not use the wind instrument (Khukewasaw), but rather they used only gongs for the dance; but that because the gongs were now difficult to get, they had shifted to using the Khukewasaw. He said that he does not know any traditional songs. We also asked him about where the MIku villages are located. There is a single Miku village in the Nanyun township., near to Rangsi.
