L.. Ngula now ka yunparni, ngula now.
ThatÕs the song now they are singing

P.. Wanji wanjiki nyampuju ka wangkami wanji wanji nyampu purdanyangu.
She asking about wanjiwanji, she heard it

L.. Patirlirrirla ngulalpa, old people ngulalpa nyinaja Patirlirrirla, purlaparlalpa nyinaja patirlirrirla old people. Ngajuju wita nyampurlaju.
At patirlirri there was a big corroboree going on by the old people and I was just young/small at this time

SingingÉ wanji wanji warri wangkanya warri wangkanya, kukurnarla wanji wanji warrirni kukurnarla warri wangkanya.

L.. WanjiwanjiÕrlalpalu nyinaja purlaparla nyampurlaju patirlirrirla, yunparnulpalu yanirninjaanulpa yanirninjaanulpa.
They were at a corroboree at patirlirri singing this wanji wanji song.
They were (emu/ancestors) coming

Singing.. Ngayiwarri ngayiwarri Napaljarri Napaljarri ngayiwa ngayiwa Napaljarri Napaljarri.

L.. Big purlapa from patirlirri nyampuju. Emu nyampujulpa pungu patirlirrirlarlu I bin lil one, me and Lady(Nampijinpa)
This is a important/big corroboree from patirlirri, they danced about the emu at patirlirri, me and Lady were young/small during this time

Singing.. Ngayiwarri ngayiwarri Napaljarri.

L.. Pardu pardu manulpa nyangurnulpa, nyangurnulpa.
They bin make em purlapa big corroboree yalumpurlaju purlapalpalu pungu wita wangu.
They (ancestors) were looking. They made big corroboree they were dancing
Yanurnulpa emu jirrama kurlu ngatanti, yapa jala and mardanulpa and yanurnulpa jirrama kurlu.
That emu(ancestor) was coming with two (young emus)

Singing.. Ngayiwarri ngayiwarri Napaljarri.

L.. Purlapa nyanungurlalpalu nyinaja, yanurnu pala warriri jarralku palanai.
They were looking at the corroboree they (emuÕs) came closer

Singing.. walangka japinpai ngurlu jipinparna ngaliku ngarta ngarta limarna warlungka japinpa kurlu, jirrpiparna ngaliku, ngarti ngarti lima.

L.. Kirdalpa kangu kirda nyanurlu wali kurdu jirramalpa palangu kangu wita jarra. The father one (emu) was taking his two young oneÕs

L.. Jukurrpa waja purlapa nyampu ngulalpalu pungu nyanungu karlarra nyampurla patirlirrirla nganimpa puru wita puru pungulpalu.
The dreaming. They had corroboree and were dancing over here on the west side at patirlirri. We were young then

Singing.. Warlungka japinpa kurlu jipirrparna ngalu ka ngarta ngarta limarna.

L.. Warlulpa pala palu- pungu kurdu kurlurlu jirrama kurlurlu yilpa palu-pungu kirda nyanurluju. They were putting the fireÕs out, the father(emu) with the two young emus

MB.. Japaljarrirli mayi? Was it Japaljarri?

L.. Japaljarri wangu Jangala kurlangu this corroboree ka nguna, Jangalarlulpa pungu Jampijinpa jarra kurlurlu. No not Japaljarri it was Jangala, this corroboree belongs to Jangala. Jangala(emu) was putting the fire out with the two (emus) JampijinpaÕs

MB.. Kuja now wangkanjaanka. ThatÕs how you need to speak.

L.. Jampijinpa jarra kurlurlulpa Jangalarlu pungu. Jardawarnparla kuja karlipa yangka nyanyi nyampuju, nyampu now.
The (emu) Jangala was putting the fire out with the two(emus) JampijinpaÕs.
We see this dance during the jardawarnpa time

MB.. Record maninjaku yangka kuja piya now.
We need to record these sorts of stories.

L.. Jardiwarnparla kula karlipa nyampuju nyanyi purlapa. We see this jardawarnpa corroboree.

L.. Warlungkalpa pala pungu palupungulpa pala warlu yuwayi nyampu now kurdu jirrama kurlu. It (emu) was putting the fire out with itÕs two kids(emu)

L.. Nyampurla purlaparla now lu nganpa wiri manu ngajarraju yalumparlarlu patirlirrirlarlu purlapa nyampu kalalu pungu emu.
They grew us up on this corroboree when we were kidÕs, they danced the emu dreaming.

And nyampuju jardiwarnpa kurra yangka jinta jarrija nyampuju ngula karnalu yangka business waylki warru pinyi nyampuju, thatÕs em early days nyampuju.
And this connects with the jardawarnpa when we all get together when the business is on, this is from the early days
