The text on which this performance is based: "La guerra di Troia di Mario Pellegrinotti, secondo il testo rielaborato e adottato dai maggianti di Gorfigliano (LU)," a cura di Gastone Venturelli (CTP Lucca, Quaderno 2bis, 1979).

Reduced version (116 stanzas, reduced from original 268), with some stanzas removed and others inserted by hand, given to Linda Barwick by Amilcare Paladini 13/7/98. Photocopy labelled "Viano 12/7/98" contains numerous annotations by Linda Barwick, including sketch outlines of melodies performed by the various singers.
