Title Ndang nat hpe jahkrit ai la (The man who frightened the spirits) with English translation
Description Translation (Tu Hkawng)
The story that I am going to tell is about a person who works as an exorcist and chased the evil spirits from their dwelling homes, and then the man took all their properties as his own that they had bought. Once upon a time, a man started a journey to travel to the jungle. While he was traveling, one night, it was too late for him to travel. So, he decided to sleep at the deserted house where no one stayed. As he was alone, he slept in the house attic. While he was preparing to sleep, at night, the evil spirits were entering the house. After they were entering the house, then the sound came out as a "Buk Galwi". Subsequently, some of the evil spirits said, "Hey, we are scared of the song "Buk Galwi", we are scared lol." However, some of them said, "Hey, we do not scared "Buk galwi song," but we are afraid of "Mi kaba." Soon later, the song of "Buk Galwi" was sounding again, some evil spirits said, " Hey, it is scary," some said, "We do not scare, we only sacred of "Mi Kaba," then the man thought, the evil spirits were afraid of sea bean seeds (Mi Kaba) and he threw them soundly to the floor. Immediately, the evil spirits said, "Myi Kaba song is emitting," after a few moments, they said, "The sound was emitting again" after they heard the "Myi Kaba' sound" again. As such, the man understood that the evil spirits were scared of the sea bean seeds so that he made a "Myi Kaba" sound longer than before. After that, the evil spirits said, "Hey, the sound of "Myi Kaba" is emitting, so let us run away." Then, the sound (Hkrawk Hkrak...) was getting louder and louder as the man threw more sea bean seeds. Immediately, all the evil spirits ran away together. After they were running away, the man came down from the attic and took all the golden basket of the evil spirits and carried back to his home. He became a rich man after he sold all the golden properties.
