Title Lahkawn chye ai mare salang (Good leader) with English translation
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai)
The story is about a leader. Once upon a time, there was a small village. The villagers were united although they lived in just a small village. They had a mature leader who could lead them. Whatever they worked or did, the chief led the villagers and worked together. When they made their village to be more beautiful, the chief gave his all and worked together with the villagers. One day, they heard that they would have the chiefs from the other village. The chief was happy to have guests. He thought, "Even though our village is small, it is really grateful that the chiefs will come to us. I am so happy about that." And he called all the villagers. He told them, "Let's not go anywhere today. Let's have a meeting." The villagers listened to him and didn't work or go anywhere as he said. The chief said, "We will have guests from another village. So, we should welcome them warmly. Let's clean our village. And we need to escort the guests too." The villagers said, "Yes, let's escort them. We will welcome them and make them feel their home." He told them, "Some of you stand along the village street. I will go and pick the guests up." In the past, villages are far from each other. Then, he told the villagers, "Just follow my action. Say what I say, and do what I do." They agreed with each other. On that day, the villagers were standing along the street to welcome the guests. When the guests arrived, the chief welcomed them warmly. Unluckily, he fell over in front of the guests. Then, the villagers did the same action like him. The guests were surprised and shocked. They thought, "They are coming to pick us up and welcome us, but why are they welcoming us like this?" They asked the villagers about it. The villagers said, "Our chief told us to do as he does, so we just followed his action." The chiefs thought, "They are united. Even though this is just a small village and there is only a small amount of villagers, they are united." So, they gave lots of gifts to them. And they praised them a lot. They gave many compliments to the villagers and the chief. Since then, the village had become more and more beautiful and cleaner. If the leader is good, his men will follow him. Then, they can have a good and healthy environment. This is the end of the story.
