Collection title Central Asmat (Manowee, Jas, Yas) (Indonesia)
Description Materials deposited by Ruth H. Roesler and The Evangelical Alliance Museum created by Calvin Roesler. Their work was among the Asmat people in the swamps of the south coast. Linguistic work of devising a spelling system and translation of Scripture was carried out as was recording of anthropological data. It includes folktales, origins, customs, songs, daily life and linguistic analysis. Items 001 to 054 are audio recordings and all following items are notes, most of which are transcripts of audio.
