Description |
This session contains three parts, all of which are recordings of Munaya (F, 58) either singing or telling a story at her home. All recordings are recorded with a Canon Vixia HFM500 camcorder with a Rode VideoMic Pro Camera-Mount shotgun microphone, two Tascam 60D audio recorders, one recording with a Audio-Technica AT825 microphone and the other recording with a Shure WH30XLR headset microphone. The first recording (BJM01-114-01, original filename PSE-20150301-N) is a narrative, or what is known as an "Andai-andai" in Besemah, which is a type of fable. Two of Munaya's nieces, Dela and Amanda, are present in the first recording. The second recording (BJM01-114-02, original filename PSE-20150301-SA) is a song entitled "Petang-petang" in Besemah, which means evening in English. The third recording (BJM01-114-03, original filename PSE-20150301-SB) is a song untitled. |
