Paul Gardissart was a former French Teacher from South Africa who came to teach in the New Hebridies. He then resigned and joined Radio Vanuatu producing a Cultural Radio Program until his death in 2016. He was the first presenter to
introduce a radio program on custom, culture, and tradition of Vanuatu or New Hebrides on Radio. After his death almost all the recordings that were made by him were officially handed over to the Vanuatu Cultural Centre
