Word list - 9 recordings with a word list comparing the Wancho language as spoken in Kamhua Noknu village with the list in Burling and Mankai (1998) 'Wancho Phonology and Word List'. The words were recorded in the order they are listed in Burling and Mankai, commencing with the word for 'moon' Recording -01 from 'moon' to 'valley'; -02 from 'animal' to 'wing'; -03 from 'jungle' to 'tuber'; starts with a discussion of the word for 'elephant's trunk', -04 from 'bamboo shoots' to 'trunk (of a tree)'; -05 from 'cheek' to 'chin'; -06 from 'ear' to 'forehead', -07 from 'gums to sweat'; -08 from 'tears' to 'they'. At the end there is a discussion of a minimal triplet on the syllable /nəm/: /nəm¹/ 'bad smell'; /nəm²/ 'type of vegetable', /nəm³/ 'you (pl)'; -09 from from 'adolescent boy' to 'elder sister'.
