Description |
The Ven. Etika, then resident monk at the Pawaimukh Buddist temple, showing Stephen Morey around the temple and explaining some of its features. The recording begins with a view of the sand pillar and some of other features outside the temple, where the Buddha images are washed during the Sangkyen festival and also the Kukte (Kuti) where the monks live. 3ʹ20" Inside the temple, he reads from a Buddhist book in Tai language. 8ʹ12" view of the altar with the chief Buddha statue donated from Thailand and pointing out an image of a respected monk from earlier times.
