I'm going to talk about "Nang Bya and the Dragon." Once upon a time, there was a place where Nang Bya went every day to drink water. There was a stream. One day, it was a sunny day. He was thirsty. He went to the stream to drink water. He saw something very big and long, like a log, floating in the water. He was clever enough to think, "Hmm, it wasn't there yesterday." "There was no heavy rain." "And yet there is a big log?" In his mind, "Hmm, this must be a dragon!" he thought. So Nang Bya said, "Hey, you big black thing there!" "If you're a log, go upstream!" "If you're a dragon, go downstream!" He said. Then it went up. Nang Bya said, "Ha ha! You're a dragon!" "A log can't swim up!" "A log would have gone down!" "But you went up!" The dragon was embarrassed. Nang Bya did not drink water. He just went back. The dragon was so embarrassed. So she dug a large hole on the road and waited for Nang Bya. When Nang Bya came toddling back, one leg of his fell into the hole. He thought, "This must be the work of the dragon." "She felt embarrassed." "She got back at me." He thought. "Hey, you could have caught my leg!" "Mmm-mmm-mmm, is that all you can say?" "Say, ha ha! And brag about it!" He said. The dragon heard that and laughed, "Ha ha!" At that moment, Nang Bya quickly took his leg out of the dragon's mouth. He even pulled the dragon's tongue out and ran away. He ran away. He took the dragon's tongue and hung it on the tree. He hung it there and went home. When he got home, he said to a cat at home, "Hey, brother cat, there is a dragon's tongue hanging on a tree." "Go and get it!" The cat asked, "Where is it?" "Over there, in the tree!" Nang Bya answered. The cat went straight there to look for it. Surprisingly, the dragon's tongue had turned into a tree. When it became a tree, it bore fruit. The fruit was shaped like a dragon's tongue. People named the fruit "Indian trumpet fruits." That is why the Indian trumpet fruit shaped like a dragon's tongue.
