I am going to talk about a story of a man who caught a tiger. Once upon a time, on Mount Daru in the Danai Mountains, tigers often attacked people. Many spirits lived there too. It was a place that did not attract people even for a day. There was a place where people always slept. Then one day, a man stayed there. The man, who had no companion, couldn't stand still. He was helplessly frightened. He climbed up bamboo and cut it down. He then weaved bamboo splits among the bamboo. At night, he smoked opium and spent his time weaving bamboo splits. Indeed, at night, a tiger came. The tiger found the man among the bamboo and tried to eat him. It stuck its paw into the bamboo. No matter how many times it suck its paw in, it could not reach him. Now it put its tail into the bamboo and stirred him up. No matter how much it stirred its tail, it did not reach the man. It did not reach him. It stirred its tail again and again. Then, not only did it not reach the man, when it was stirring its tail, the man, sobering up, pulled its tail and tied it with the bamboo splits. When the tail moved, he tied it further. He tied the tail with all the bamboo splits. The tiger howled and growled again and again. The next morning, the man went down the mountain to the Hukawng valley. He said to the villagers.
