This story is about how birds started to build nests. One day, birds told each other, "Hey, even human beings have their houses." "So, we also need a house." "But we are not as smart and intelligent as humans." "So, let's go to see how humans build houses." "Let's imitate and build a house the same as the human's house." They told each other. Then one bird asked, "Well, where can we look?" Another bird said, "There are some people who are building a house there now." "Let's go and look at that!" Then the bird called "Dangut" with a short tail went there first to look how a house was built. When it went there, people were about to build a house. They were digging up the earth to make the pillars. Then what the bird thought was, "Ahhh, to build a house, we just need to do like that." Today, the Dangut bird with a short tail lays its eggs on the ground. It lives on the ground as its home. A short time later, a pigeon went to see the house. When it went there, what it saw was that people were laying the rafters for the roof. Then it thought, "This is the way how people build a house!" Since then, the pigeon's nest is on the edge where even its eggs are about to fall off. Then another bird went there again. At that time, it saw that there were only posts. So it thought, "Ahhh, people build a house by putting the posts up everywhere." So, a green jay bird's nest is like a post. Later, a white rumped munia went there to look at how people built a house. When it went there, the house was all finished. The door was closed and only one window was open. So it thought, "Ummm, this is what a house is all about!" Even though it is a small bird, the white-rumped munia builds its nest solid. It opens only a small hole and goes in there.
