I am going to tell you a story about a stone dragon. Once upon a time, there was a stream on a mountain in the village of Machanbaw, Putao. One day, a woman came to the stream with her child. She came to the stream to wash her clothes. When she arrived at the stream she wrapped the child in a cloth and she laid it down behind her washing. She laid the child down and washed the clothes. The stream was on top of a hill. Then, a big dragon came up from the valley. It ate the child who was lying there. She saw a dragon pass by where she was washing the clothes. When she turned around, she saw that the child was gone. She immediately understood the situation. She knew that the dragon had swallowed the child. She was sad and angry. She pounded her chest in anger and cursed the spirit of thunder, shouting "Spirit of Thunder! This dragon has eaten my child!" "Listen to me!" "Bring this dragon to justice!" Immediately, the thunder began to rumble. The sky became cloudy like a strong storm. The spirit of thunder came and threw lightning at the dragon. The dragon that had just come up from the valley and eaten the child after eating the child, it was about to return to the stream from the hill. That's when the lightning struck the dragon's head. So, the head went into the stream. Its body was on the hill. It became a stone and remains in Machanbaw village to this day. It is said that the stream has now dried up. Thank you very much.
