Title Legend: Biikuraka (Iikuraka) tied to the wood
Description A legend told by Uiyee, with Rebecca Maniako's transcript/English translation and English summary. This is a story about Biikuraka (Iikuraka in Motuna) (who was identified with Baanaagasi (Paanaangah) in the story), who had been tied to the wood by the villagers. They intended to cook him with vegies they went to collect in the garden. In the meantime he tricked a young boy to untie him, and then killed all the children in the village for revenge.
