Title Ja hkyi nyi ai lapu a lam | The snake that shits gold
Description Translation (Rita Seng Mai & Keita Kurabe)
I am going to tell you a story about a snake that shits gold. Once upon a time, there were an old couple in a village. They grew old and they could not cultivate fields like other villagers. So they lived by raising chickens. They were living with their chickens. One day, a very large and very long snake entered their property. It was a very big and long snake. But the old couple felt sorry for it. They killed the chicken they raised and fed the snake. Some people would not welcome a snake and beat it to death. But the old couple welcomed it warmly. Instead of beating it to death, they welcomed it warmly with their chicken. They treated it nicely. One day, the snake went out of the house of the old couple. When it went out, it took a shit. It defecated all the way outside. All of its feces were gold. It excluded gold poop. The old couple collected all the gold. They became rich. The lesson is that "We must be gracious" "to whoever comes to us." People told this story once upon a time. Thank you very much.
